Lugano Dona
Lugano Dona is a collaborative initiative involving multiple Swiss hubs (Zurich, Bern, Luzern, and Geneva) aimed at providing a warm welcome to asylum seekers in Canton Ticino during the holiday season by offering them essential gifts and heartfelt cards, with Shapers overseeing the project's organization and implementation, benefiting over 250 refugees, including approximately 70 children.
Campione dell'innovazione
The Champion of Innovation 4.0 project in Ticino, conducted in 2018-2019, aimed to assess local companies' readiness for the fourth industrial revolution. It recognized exemplary firms, encouraging others to adopt innovative practices and fostering discussion about the revolution's societal impact.
Swiss Converge
During the first phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lugano Hub launched SwissConverge, offering mental health support and online content. As the pandemic waned, they started providing free, personalized online education. Demand decreased in the late summer of 2020, leading to the project's conclusion. In total, they provided 92 hours of classes to 62 students, helping bridge educational gaps in Ticino.
